Jesus, His Grace, and the Gospel

“God knew man would sin and fall, but still God chose to make man in His image. Jesus knew that Peter would doubt Him, and start to sink, but still Christ called him out unto the water. Jesus knew that Judas would betray Him, but still Jesus ate with him and shared life with him. Jesus knew, just as God knew, and still they call each and everyone of us to take part in this grand story. Just because your feet are dirty, and your heart is prone to wander, it doesn’t mean that you are unfit for the glory of Christ. God is saying to you now, in your broken and fallen state, “I love you, come walk with me.” and we have to be willing to take that first step, knowing that our next could be one of betrayal, but that in the end we will have made it to a far greater place than where we started. Listen to that gentle voice that calls you by name, and be brave enough to respond, doubts may come, and storms arise; but Christ is the one who defeated death, so that you could live in praise. Be a living hallelujah, sweet and wonderful, allowing God to refine you and mold you, so that you may be what so many could not be, like Christ.”
